Taj has been called a symbol of love, for centuries. Great poets have written Odes on The Taj, describing its beauty and its significance as a monument of Love.
It does depict a side of love.
Though some fail to give Taj that honour as it is a monument built in remembrance of a dead loved one. It is considered inauspicious by some. |

The tajmahal was the symbol of a sheiks love for his wife but in his religion it is considered blasphemic to creat such idolism for anyone. |

Even if you have any doubt about its symbolism for love, you shall not have any iota of doubt on its ~Milty faced significance. It is a tribute to beauty, an architectural wonder, a jewel made of marble, magic of colours. In all it is "a teardrop on the cheek of time". |

Yes, it is the symbol of love wherein two lovers were separated by the twist of luck. For the other one to have a view of the lover on the faraway place, the Taj Mahal was built there wherein a window was placed facing the lover's direction. |

yes actually it is the symbol of love....Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal for his Wife Mumtaz Mahal, hence the name Taj Mahal. Mumtaz was dying and because Shah Jahan loved her so much he built the Taj as a memorial and burial ground for body to lay to rest and as it so happens when he died he was burried right next to her...before the british came to rule india...the taj mahal was encrusted with diamonds all up and down the walls and ceilings...but when the british came to india they took all the diamonds...and now the British crown jewels are actually from the Taj Mahal...i hope that helps... |

Yes it is a symbol of true love-Your not supposed to visit it on your own only with family and friend's.
Lady Diana came on her own to visit it and she ended up in a tragic accident that killed her poor soul, she should have come with Dodi Fayad at least if Prince Charl's could not come with her.
The love of life is there. |

I have heard that thousands of the artists and workers were deprived of their arms ( so that they would not be able to recreate the taj).
They were rewarded this way ? !!!!
If this is true, would u still call it a symbol of love. ???? |

it was a symbolic gesture of love between a man and a woman. It's not symbolic to everyone just between them. |
