Yes There is one in Kolkatta of west Bengal.

Bidhannagar (Bengali à¦¬à¦¿à¦§à¦¾à¦¨à¦¨à¦—à¦°), or Salt Lake as it is popularly called, is a planned satellite township developed between 1958 and 1965 to accommodate the burgeoning population of Kolkata. Dr.Bidhan Chandra Roy, then the Chief Minister of West Bengal, was instrumental in formulating the plan to build a satellite residential area on this once swampy stretch of land on the eastern fringe of the city. It is now a hub of economic and social expansion and is famous as the centre for IT in the city. The township is called Bidhannagar in Bengali in the honour of Dr B.C Roy, and also shares its name with its namesake city in the United States on account of the story of its origin.

The tremendous pressure of accommodating the ever-increasing population of Kolkata contributed to the emergence of the idea of a planned township in the suburbs of the city. As the Hooghly river bounds the city in the west, the other way to expand the city over its eastern fringe. The second Chief Minister of West Bengal Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy came up with the idea of satellite townships.The eastern suburb of Kolkata was full of swampy salt lakes,which on one hand used for pisciculture and on the other the natural drainage way of the city as the natural incline of the city is from west to east.These marshy, shallow salt water lakes were chosen as the site for developing the auxilliary township of Kolkata. Salt Lake City, later was renamed Bidhan Nagar (Bengali: Nagar=City) as a mark of recognition to one of its founders, Dr. Roy.-

Yes-there is a city named Salt lake City in India. It is situated in the eastern fringes of Kolkata (Calcutta). The majot IT Sectors are functioning from their office here. This is also a place where the most affluent citizens live in their beautiful houses.This is a posh area in W. Bengal.
Salt Lake City was built at the time of Dr B.C. Roy-the ex Chief Minister of W.Bengal,India. Today the Salt Lake City is the most beautiful and modern township in Greater Calcutta Region.
Its Postal Index Number Number in the Indian system is: 700 064
There is no other city named Salt Lake City in India other than I have mentioned above.
