Yes, there is!!! But read on how:

They are treated like sacred people by a few self styled leaders. Interestingly they are happy to be treated like this. Result is: they are used by a handful people of their own community as a vote bank for petty personal gains of vested interests. This way, in the long run, the community as a whole is suffering and interestingly, fully knowing this fact, majority of them are still cozy with their this condition and are not willing to take a firm stand against their this exploitation by their so called well wishers!!!!

Those who have learnt and realised this fact are a far happier lot and leading a king size life. Precious and an important Muslim segment of Indian Community is really awaiting an awakening.

No. Do you know, the present President of India is a muslim? We all respect him so much!! This notion is wrong, and I am quite sure that people living here first think of themselves as Indians, and then think about their religion. There are many muslims in India, and they are very fairly treated. Yes, some anti social elements may distinguish between religions, but otherwise there is no discrimination.
Many successful people from India are Muslims. Many popular Bollywood actors are Muslims. Indian cricket team has quite a few good players, who are muslims. I don't think they feel left out because of their religion. They are Indians, and this is the main thing!

EmM
No.

India is a secular country, where the religion of a person does not in any way hinder or help a person who is talented.

No not at all. they all live together with other religious communities harmoniously.

SpideR
No not at all. A few bad Hindus and Muslims cause a lot of tension in the country but overall Muslims in India live in harmony with everyone else.

Not at all...saying this from experience.

Sometimes certain things are over exaggerated and this is one of them

rangapadma
Who said it to you? They get the best treatment. The present Congress Government make every attempt to appease them.
They get all the preferences just in their lap. The present Congress Government is exclusively meant for the Muslims and the majority Hindus are being treated like scums. Under the Congress Government dispensation, the Muslim terrorists have a free run and they kill ever non-muslim.

There is Minority Commission and National Human Rights Commission who work overtime to please the Muslims.
There is Muslim Personal Law Board who work overtime to supress the Muslim women.

not at all!!!

India is a secular country.... which means it is not functioning on the basis of one single religion... then whatever u feel is just a wrong feeling created by all the politicians who see the muslims as nothing but just a vote bank in the name of "minorities"...

the only remedy to all these wrong notions is "common civil code", which will deal with all the Indians equally without any bias on region, religion, caste or creed..., but for this we have to go a long way...

to sum up.... it is up to us to decide whether to have a country with divisions all over or to have a Stronger, Peaceful, United India!!!

Jai Hind!

It's a bit exaggerated when you said alot...yes partly maybe well it happens everywhere isn't it? But no...it's not hyped out in such a way...mind you...most of our famous movie stars are Muslims and they are loved by all..i.e people from all religion and vice-versa.

from what i've read, there are also discrimination against non-muslims in india.
i've read also that when muslim girls (date)see non-muslims, their noses were cut to give them shame.
