I'm not so sure on your definition of "terrorism" - some alienated force that attacks home territory?

Violence will always be apart of the world - it's in our blood as humans, and it will be neverending.

As for terrorism, I think what you should be more worried about is what you're hearing: Think about the source of your information and deduct your reasoning from that instead of listening to anything and everything from your designated source.

There's always more to it than that - more than meets the eye.

There will always be people out there that don't agree with or hate what others do and the way they think... that's the nature of the world.

Unfortunately, there are always nut jobs among them that are willing to manifest that hate in physical ways... And that is terrorism... But of course it's only terrorism from the perspective of the people being attacked... That's an important thing to remember...

I don't think that there is much we can do to change people's beliefs, and I also think that we shouldn't do that... People are and should be allowed to think the way they choose. So there will always be disagreement.

What we can do though is tackle the physical attacks... We have 2 options as far as I'm concerned, we can do what we've been doing and "go in all guns blazing" to physically destroy the extremists... But this approach has many problems... Firstly, it simply adds credibility to the claims the extremist make... Let's face it, If they (the extremists) say that one group of people are evil and cause death and destruction, then that group goes in and shoots everything that moves as "retaliation" or "defensive measures", isn't that confirm what the extremists said? Also, terrorism is based on ideologies... Not individuals... Sure, Osama Bin Laden is the universaly known figure head of Al Quaida, but even if we get him and try him or even kill him, the beliefs and ideology behind the man and the organisation will remain... Nothing can destroy an ideology other than mass genocide and that is of course not an option for ANY civilised nation.

The other option to tackle it is to take notice of what they claim is so bad about us, and then take action to prove they are wrong... Not to give in to demands, but to "acknowledge" concerns, and do something to alleviate them... Negotiations and accords are the only way to curb the violence.

Of course, some extremists are simply hell bent on destroying what they don't agree with, but in that case, Doing all we can to make them look bad and not sink to thier own level is the best bet... the more support they lose, the more thier ideology crumbles...

It's a tough situation, and a good question...

Lets hope that in the future we learn from the mistakes we've all made in recent years...

terrorism is the product of injustice and manipulated politics.while world become more true to justifiable activities and the cornered and downtrodden people serve their demands properly and equality is established in their life,the chance of terrorism will diminish.it always starts from a dissatisfied and inmatuared mind, where it believes he is served with an injustice in certain activity.love and better understanding between human beings can bring down the chances.but basic thing is we should assure all human being is getting his justifiable share and equal opportunity for the best result in his life.until the exploitation of human beings are existing repulsion will be natural and it is the mind which is the basic ground for all terrorist seeds.interesting factor is the people who are really responsible for creating or doing injustice are making much noice against the results of their own activities by saying the the victims as terrorists.

have u noticed . All terrorists are muslims , though all muslism are not terrorists.In countries like Uk where the muslim population is limited it is very easy to control or eliminate terrorism. Just keep a watch on all muslims travelling to pakistan,iran,sudan, saudi, etc. Keep a track of their calls and movements. 90% would be caught in no time.

Then most of all.... Terrorism the word and the act is the creation of the media...

They will immidiately print any s h i t that some fool says about one religion and immidiately glorify the act.

When there is a an action they will show it in all its glory,

Then there will be reactions and the papers will have great sales for a week.

The crusaders want publicity, Jack the ripper wanted to be noticed, politicians want coverage, and so do the people who act and react...

Close the media and u have closed terrorism for good.

Yes one way, when Christ returns and sends fire upon earth,, it will end everything,, well its a fact... they are all diffrent types of human errors, world wide, mental il people, I call them, so they are all around, just like ants,, but dont worrie, they can only do so much...
