Don't worry!.... Goa is good to visit the whole year round!

True it is the monsoons right now but then Goa is just not beaches only. Don't think of swimming in the sea during this time.....

Get off the beaten track, explore the hidden side of Goa.... and you won't be disappointed!

Yes, it is. Don't get mis-guided by different opinions. Among all the times through out the year, mansoon time is one of the best time to visit Goa. This time Goa looks like a baby comes out afresh after shower.
All the greenery look like fresh born cause no dust on leaves and plants but just fresh greenery and whole goa is full of green cashew, coconut and pine-apple trees and ornamental christmas trees. In contrast of green shades every where you find just imaculate white Churches peeping out giving the real enjoyable view. The roads in goa are excellant through out the year unlike road conditions in other part of India in mansoon cause its a place full of iron-ore, solid rocky foundation, so no muddy roads during mansoon and with plenty of road fecilities, touring by road is enjoyable. Since most indian people are under mis-conception to get out of home during mansoon for touring, Goa comparatively becomes tranquil and quiete and away from the commotions of local poor crowd from nearby bordering states like karnataka, maharashtra etc.
I have toured goa in June and found very enjoyable only you have to prepare yourself for rains and rain-dance through-out Goa. So get ready with your rain-dresses and run out of your carrier on the dancing floor of whole Goa state. Dont forget to visit Bosilica of Bom Jesus where the body of St. Francis is still kept in tact in the silver casket at the altar, in Old Goa and also the cristal clear Colva beach near Madgaon including beaches in north goa. Bon-Voyage.......Goa is waiting open arms for you.

its rains in june, its off season, its cheap and its beautiful! I think what i meant to say was yey!
Was in Goa (baga ) last monsoons and thoroughly enjoyed my time there .
Goa in monsoons is so different from the normal season . Lot less crowded , cheap hotel rates . Agreed ...you dont have the sunshine to play around in the beach ....but if you looking to just chill out ..i'd definately recommend it .
If its beach time your looking for then probably no Goa won’t provide. However if your just looking for someplace to have a break, perhaps get into the local culture, then Goa might well be for you.
There is a lot more to Goa than just the beaches, get down to south Goa, sparsely populated you could spend days exploring the hills and villages.
My forays into the surrounding country side in a 40 km radius of Palolem have convinced me that a trip into the rain forests of south Goa during monsoon must be heaven, orchids, tropical fruit trees, and waterfalls ancient temples, couple this with the sleepy village life of an off season Goa and you’ve got a lovely place to chill out.
If you need a bit of culture try old Goa or indeed hop on a local passenger train and speng some time in Gokarne, Karnataka (just a couple of hours!)
Remember it doesn’t rain all the time during a Goa monsoon so there’s plenty opportunities to get on your bicycle and go see some unspoilt western Ghat scenery. I wish I was coming with you!!!!

The ideal time to visit Goa is from October to March. Rain is expected around middle of June. However, rain may not be severe in June.

any time of the year is a GOOD time to visit goa.,

the beaches never close, however the beach shacks will. You will find it rather warm and it will probably rain on and off. I would not cancell just enjoy it, so few people go there during the monsoon season which is actually quite a pleasent.

The monsoon season is already started in coastal areas. There may be heaqvy rains in and around Goa. If you are a fresh visitor then you may not be able to see all the beautiful places of Goa. The best season to visit Goa is from October to January when there are no rains and climate is not that hot. In summer you may enjoy the konkan fruits but it is too hot and lot of perspiration.
