Hinduism - it is not culture but religion. Hindus are in majority. As far as culture goes there are just too many, even within hindu population there are several dozen cultures and languages!

In modern India, there is remarkable cultural and religious diversity throughout the country. This has been influenced by the various regions of India, namely South, North, and North-East, have their own distinct identities and almost every state has carved out its own cultural niche.

Hindu Culture

Hindu dharma is world’s oldest living dharma (religious philosophy and way of life).

Hindu dharma is over 8500 years old.

It is tolerant, resilient and peace-loving.

The root of Hindu dharma lie in the Indian subcontinent, in the Indus (Sindhu) valley which had 300 advanced settlements as early as 5000 BCE.

Hindu dharma is also called Sanatana Dharma or Eternal Dharma.

Hindu dharma has no founder, the word Sanatana implies that it always existed.

Acceptance of different modes of worship.

basically we Indian's are known for long cultural, Dravidian's are old in India they have long cultural background but when Aryans comes to India the Dravidian's don't try to defeat them. then Aryans make there own cultural in this area near sindhu river. later on the Aryan cultural known as Hindu they make vedic cultural in this region.
later the Jainism come in to existence but Jain get publicity from vardhaman Mahavira.
in this time period means before 2000yrs before lord Buddha invent new religion which is famous as Buddhism.
so Dravidian is come at first
then Aryans
then Jainism
then after Buddhism
but the period of Aryans are long and they have big history

The culture of India was moulded throughout various eras of history, all the while absorbing customs, traditions and ideas from both invaders and immigrants. Many cultural practices, languages, customs and monuments are examples of this co-mingling over centuries.

In modern India, there is remarkable cultural and religious diversity throughout the country. This has been influenced by the various regions of India, namely South, North, and North-East, have their own distinct identities and almost every state has carved out its own cultural niche. In spite of this unique cultural diversity, the whole country is bound as a civilization due to its common history, thereby preserving the national identity.

India was the birth place of religious systems such as Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism and Jainism, which have a strong influence not only over India, but also the whole world. Following the Islamic invasions and the subsequent foreign domination from the tenth century onwards, the culture of India was influenced by the foreign cultures , particularly Persian, Arabic and Turkish cultures. Their influence comes in the form of religion, language and dress. In turn, the various religions and the multihued traditions of India have influenced South East Asia(and to a minimal extent, East Asia). However India has also influenced many parts of the world. Through religion ad philosophy, Indian traditions spread. Mark Twain wrote, India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. Our most valuable and most astrictive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only!
