1.Ganpatipule is a great place, with the best beach in the Konkan region. It will take about 9 hrs to reach by road.
2. Koyna has a beautiful 60 km long lake, and is another good place to visit.
3. Bhandardara , 32 kms from Igatpuri, is a fantastic place, for treks, walks, and sight seeing. Randhwa Waterfalls, Konkankada, Kalsubai, Lake Arther, and Wilson Dam... wonderful in the rains.Stay at Anandvan Resorts, or MTDC Lake side family cottages.
4. Igatpuri is a good option. You can visit Khodala, Jawhar, Vaitarna Lake, Nashik... great in rainy season.
5. Nearby, Kashid, Murud, Kihim, Alibagh beaches.
6. Harihareshwar and Srivardhan Beaches are lovely.
7. Silvassa and Daman are in the north of Mumbai.

Phew! That's a long list. I've been to all except the last one.
