There are many good and friendly places to stay. As for cheap, you may be out of luck. Goa is a magnetfor domestic and foreign tourists over this time and the prices of course go up to reflect the demand. If you want certainty try to book somewhere on line, otherwise look around when you get there, BUT rooms that can cost 300Rp a night can trebble in price over Christmas and New Year, so expect to pay a premium |

Cheap?.. just sit about the beach shacks all night and sleep on the sunbeds outside them all day.. lol |

the cheapest place is on the most happening beach: Calangute in North Goa....
Name of the place is Calangute Residency Annexe, its about 200 mts from the beach....when i was there in September last year, I pad Rs 500 per room...however, it would be around Rs 940 per room due to high season now.... anyways check up http://www.goa-tourism.com/project_details.asp?id=22#test |

Depends how cheap you want to stay? Hotels can get pretty booked up this time of year. Also what part of Goa? I went to Anjuna but did not rate the beach so moved onto Colva which I loved, the beach was nice and the people friendly, I stayed at a place called 'Vincents' but I was backpacking and on a very tight budget. There was also a hotel / bar / restaurant nearby called 'Tate' which is an English ran place and very nice.

You can definitely find cheap places in Goa over Christmas. Your best bet is BookMe.com. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites, and save money. Good luck! |
