TIPS :

- Learn the local language Kannada at all cost.
- Mentally prepare yourself to face sivere traffic congestion
- Get pleanty of sun screen

Basically, if you learn Kannada the transition will be seamless; failure to do so will make several irritations crop up.

Learn Kannada as it will help you a lot in Bangalore. Though most people understand and speak Hindi and English , understanding and speaking Kannada would help. I was recently in Banaglore and found it to be Green and having Pleasant climate ( it was hot but not sweating hot) .
The Traffic and Pollution , though has increased greatly .
Otherwise, enjoy your stay and welcome to India.

I haven't been to India, but I know it's a very religious place.
I must say though u'll will be missed by all ur friends and at times you may miss home,
Just remember your building a new life in India, make the most of it and never lose contact's with ur dear friends at home.
It will be sad and happy all at once.
Just keep in mind, God is with you every step of the way and ur friends wish you all the best.

Banagalore is a very nice place ..Learn Kannada the local language.If you don't know the local languages then espically when you go in an auto.There will take you for a crazy ride .

The hospitality and acceptance Bangaloreans provide to people from anywhere in India. They are, in general, open minded, and helpful irrespective of the language you speak. (Well, I need to be a bit reserved about being helpful part; you ask anybody on the road how to get to some place, the answer, 99% of the time is "seedha hogi (right turn) maadi" -- "go straight and take a right turn" :-)
But Bangalore is the best .
