Kanpur is not a very good place to live now. Roads, Traffic, Power all problems are there. Whereas Lucknow is a fast developing city with excelllent roads, colleges, hotspitals, malls, multiplexes etc. But yes Kanpur is still very cheap as compared to lucknow which is coming in costly category now. |

Don't think about the place you are going to....whether it is better or not,it depends on your thinking.if you have strong desire for any work, then the what ever be the place you are going will be the better place for you.

kanpur cant compared with lko...
lko today is becoming the next big thing.
it is developing a hell lot than kanpur or any other city .
kanpur is not a gud place as i hav visited both the cities many times and u will face a lot of problem settling down there
its basically a industrial area and the traffic is very irritating
but u can get gud coaching there as there r many gud coaching centers .....so its not a gud idea to shift to kanpur ......
and the rest depends on you....

I have no idea! I have lived in Lucknow, but never in Kanpur.
My old dad used to say that when I was happy, my smile stretched from my Earpur to my Kanpur. For those unfamiliar with Hindi, 'Kan' (pronounced Kaan) means ear. Therefore, ear to ear! |

Yes, kanpur is the better place because of having famous educations centers. But today lucknow is boom and fast growing................anyway both place is good to live.........
Kanpur is located on the banks of the Ganga and is an important industrial centre. It has an area of over 1600 km² and had a population of around 4.13 million in the 2001 census. Owing to its industrial importance one of the Reserve Bank of India was established in the city. Kanpur is home to several most prestigious educational institutions of the country, including one of the Indian Institutes of Technology, Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI), CSJM University, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural University, and GSVM Medical College.
Today, Lucknow is a vibrant city that is witnessing an economic boom and is among the top ten fastest growing non-major-metropolitan cities of India. It is the second largest city in Uttar Pradesh state. The unique combination of its cultured grace and newly acquired pace is its most promising feature that augurs well for the future. |
