Unless both countries sincerely separate the politics and the religion - normal relations are not possible.

Religion is primarily to control the morality behaviour of humans.

The religious leaders are trying to encompass all the other areas that are beyond the expanse of their thinking and control and naturally they are heading for all kind of disasters - sooner or later.

We can be good friends sure but when they start realizing that they were once a part of our country and we had given them what they asked for . We gave it - a seperate nation. Now they want the most beutiful part of our nation - kashmir.
Do you expect us to agree to it? And do you know the methods they are executing to achieve it?

Yes if they resolve kashmir issue and No because in near future there is no chance that this issue will be resolved

Well, we can be good friends. It's just a matter of trust and mindset.

Problems:
1. I heard Pak text books spread a wave of hatred towards India. I don't know if that is true. If there is any one from Pakistan here, please let us know.

2. Right from the time of partition, politicians of both countries wanted their own citizens to develop a feeling of nationality and so are the hate waves. That's the basic concept of nation-state.

3. Trust begets trust. Pak lost it many times by attacking Kashmir. Results of all wars and whose is Kashmir is a whole different thing. History says the ruler chose to be with India. Why not leave Kashmiris in peace? Now, it's not a Pak problem, it's a terrorist problem.

Advantages:
1. With globalization, now world has become very small. I'm an Indian and don't mind working together with a Pakistani for a US company that is not against my motherland. That depends on the individual preference.

2. If we can leave the bad things behind, we can create a new world.

My suggestions:
I think the problem between India and Pakistan is Kashmir.

1. Pakistan and/or terrorists, learn from history and leave Kashmir to India. I think muslims are lot more happy in India. Hindus and Muslims can be good friends. We can make Kashmir world-class.

2. If 1 is not the solution, declare Kashmir as a special zone like Hong Kong; keep PoK with Pak; India and Pakistan can partner and develop Kashmir in to a world class destination. For this, Pak should completely kick out terrorists.

Simple answer YES. If we stop letting others telling us what to do and if we crush the entire terrorist operation that is actually causing damage to both the nations. And better if we can come to terms even with them and live peacefully. The past will have just to be forgotten and we'll have to embrace each other as brothers. Just imagine if we can get together then not only we can use the money we waste on warring amongst ourselves but we can also uplift each other and truly emerge as rich nations in a matter of just 5 years if we just have peace. Please note: None of the above facts are exaggerated. It can happen.

Well, as a Muslim I think it is probably because India is a mainly Hindu country, and believing in more than one God is an unforgivable sin in the Muslim religion. That's not necessarily a good reason for them to hate each other, but there you go.

Sort of like if there was a Baptist country and a homosexual country...I doubt the two would become very good friends.
