Triplicane is a Paradise for Bachelors to fit in at all range of price. You can try there, though it is quite a bit distance it is still a nice place for accommodation, food and transport.

Route no 1 goes from Triplicane to Thuraipalkam very frequently and you have some special and non stop buses in the peak hours.

Alternate is to look fro one in Santhome , T.Nagar where you have Furnished apartments ( Check opp to Santhome Church (forgot the name) they have beautiful, all facilities long and short stay rooms including dining facilities.*

Hi

PG accommodation for men is not that much familiar in Chennai. 99% percent PG accommodation available for female only. That too Thoraipakkam is a outer area of Chennai. Better you can stay in your colleagues' room for time being and arrange some other room or Mansion in any other nice area in Chennai. If you are staying in Thoraipakkam, it may be near to your TCS branch, but all other needs you need to travel a long distance. But if you are staying any where in Chennai like Velachery, Thiruvanmiyur or T Nagar you can reach office by your Office shuttle bus. Because, TCS is operating lot of buses from anywhere from Chennai to its branches which are available in OMR. You can get lot of mansions in Triplicane and Mamabalam areas.
