Hello traveler,
India is alive! It's a work in progess. I don't know if you have ever been to India but one thing is for sure. Nothing happens when you think it will. Nothing. I don't mean that in a bad bay either. India is fun yet very frustrating as well. It's full of adventure yet full of unexpected turns. its a ride in motion. When you done all your homework and jump in you realize that you are not in control any more. Just when you think everything is going smooth, POW, something happens. When you think that everything is ruined and this or that won't happen, POW it turn around. Perfect. Its great and so much fun. If your not the type that can adjust and roll with it, think again.That being said don't plan too far ahead. If you are a Indian National then it certainly would be easier for you than me due to language issues. If that is the fact I am wasting each others time writing this. But if your a visitor this is my advice. Once in Delhi look around for or get refs for a good travel agent or travel store. They are all over the place. Especially in the tourist areas downtown Delhi. Or you can go to the train station and purchase directly. That can be very tough sometimes because of lines and stuff. plus you have to get to the proper station which can also be expensive and challenging too. Everything dealing with officialdom or the system can be extremely efficient yet so frustrating that you'll pull out your hair. Its all in good fun. Roll with the punches and don't rush. Bridges go out. strikes happen or weather will delay even the best laid plans. It won't happen anyway. Stay off the buses when possible and remember don't try to change India, It will however change you. Happy Travels, Good Luck. I wish I was going too.
