i just love india been there twice there is nothing i dont like just one thing i find the food a litlle hot for me .but hey mom says this is india she is from india so i have no word against ...

Pls suggest a good honeymoon spot in South India.?
Can anyone suggest a good honeymoon spot. Preferences are spots in INDIA - in following order: Kerala, Lakshadweep or anywhere in SouthIndia. Something off the tourist track, but still worthwhile. Planning to go in January/February.

If Kerala is a preference, I can suggest some wonderful places to see there.
1. Backwaters is a must, esp since you are going on your homeymoon. Do stay in Kumarakom / Alleppy for 3-5 nights. Its is one of the most relaxing experiences ever possible. Have some massages done, go for a cruise for your lover.
2. Thekkady - a very nice jungle feeling. Stay in a good hotel e.g. Taj and get a very different experience by staying amidst the jungles.
Apart from that you can add in some nearby places like a beach maybe. These places allow you to have some independent time, without the hustle bustle of the city. Enjoy!!

you can get a honeymoon package at the Taj in KOttayam and have the hotel make arrangements for a night on the houseboat. The Taj is expensive but you can splurge on this right? they have couples massages also...you can hire a ride to go see periyar wild life and munnar tea estates..it's beautiful.
you can also opt to go to OOty, in tamil nadu..coonor is beautiful, cool in dec. but romantic
or you could go to Goa, stay at a really nice hotel..or on the beach...very romantic.

There are many wonderful honeymoon destinations in south India. You can go for Kerala, Lakshadweep, karnataka etc. You can visit wildlife sancturies, beaches and temples of south India.
