nothing illegal about them !
besides, u gotta taste local flavours to understand them
i'd say go all out & enjoy u'r stay., experience em all ...
check out local cuisine & start off with mild spices & not too hot chillies, u'r system's gonna tell u what u can take in & what not
indulge u'r self & not constraint it by yahoo answers
> bon voyage, a happy holidays in india & merry christmas |

of course you should. i would take cycle rikshas for up to 3 km. autos for up to 12 km. you dont see much of your surroundings in an auto, so for a longer distance its worth taking a cab.
rule number one always ask and fix the price BEFORE YOU GET IN. and make sure you and the driver understand it well. 50 and 15 are common misunderstandings. so ask five-zero or one-five. always try to bargain. but in each city you have to find out about prices, there are very different from place to place. |

both have their own fun....it depends in which city you are that moment..if you go for historical places like Agra, vanaras, lucknow and all those are plain region the bicycle Rikshaw will definately pleased you...othewise if you have not so much time...or if you are not in plain region of india..better to take autorikshaw. |

For travelling within a city, the auto rickshaws are a very cheap way to go, and bicycle rickshaws are even cheaper. One major drawback for auto rickshaws, however, is the the pollution - these little two-cycle engines spew enormous amounts of particulate pollution that often ends up right in your face, in addition to the toxic emissions of all the other vehicles on the road. The air quality can be so awful that I would recommend bringing with you dust mask that are used at construction sites, or a good bandana to wrap around your face. |

You can use auto (two wheelers) provided you have valid licence and a helmet on your head. Bicycle you can enjoy any where and rickshaws is a most common economical transport all over India. |

Why not....Bicycle autos rickshaws may not be allowed in heart of the centres of some metro cities like in Mumbai. But they are avaialable in all other places. |
