These countries are so similar yet so different in various aspects. Although emotionally we would love to have a combined India Pakistan team , but practically its not possible. Its better they continue as separate countries but work towards a common goal of betterment for their citizens.

Further, establishing saarc or like organisation, cant solve the problem.

Can Pakistan, India and BD unite like east and west Germany into one nation? Perhaps no ! But...

Who is interested in greater India?
Greater India will have better proportion of Muslims, and this may cause fear in Hindus for a possible back bench in governance. Hence Congress and BJP, both may oppose it internally (like Women's Bill) though they'll welcome it outwardly.
Greater India will have better Muslim presentation in Parliament and will have more Muslim states. It will also unite the divided families of Muslims in 3 nations.
