Materialistic approach even at renowned religious places by the trustees and other business minded managers have spoiled the sanctity of these temples of worship. The greed of collecting more and more money there have divided the human folk at the place of its creator (God). Who cares? We have the solutions if each of right minded person could decide to be on the right side of the things.
We all living creatures (souls) are considered part of the Almighty and it doesn't take even a single moment otherwise to get connected to the Omnipresent - anytime, anywhere, any condition, any image... |

I am sure that VIPs should be treated partially at Tirupati or any other places, naturally they are VIP, moreover it is a security issue for them as well if they try mingle in public.
As we are considering them as VIP, there should be some discretion to be followed. |

Actually no person should be given any VIP service at any worship place, but if the person is eager to visit that place, the authority should be well prepared to make arrangements for quickly. In the same time the other devotees should not be stopped from entering the temple. |

Morally, no - in God's eyes everyone's an equal, and its ethically incorrect to give a few people more weightage like it has happened in recent times.
But it is also a fact, that nowadays everything is a business - and everyone wants to gain something out of anything. If VIP's are a huge source of income or donations for some organizations, it is natural they will get the extra attention they demand. If you stop thinking of it as a temple and more as an organization - it seems to fall in place.
Either way, it happens all the time. Only this time it was reported, and hyped! |

First we should define the VIP. The VIP should be a person who is beneficial to the temple development. Like if a person who donates an amount over and above it should be treated as VIP. For example any person who donates over and above Rs 1 Lakh at one time can be treated as VIP. Mr Amitabh Bachhan who donated Rs 51 lakhs and also made his friends Mr Amar Singh, Mr Ambani doing so. In just one sitting Amitabh brought in Rs 1.53 crores to the Tirumala Temple Trust. This is not a small amount of money. This money can be used for any good cause by the temple authorities. Why the temple chairman Karunakara Reddy making a big hue and cry over Amitabh's VIP treatment issue at the temple. Amitabh is the real VVVVVVVVV VVVVVVV V VV VIP of India and deserves the treatment given to him and his family at Tirumala. By the way it is not out of place to mention that Karunakara Reddy is not a Hindu at all. He is a Protestant Christian like our Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. To cover up their identity and be in politics these christians hang on to Hindu names. But Rajasekhar Reddy daughter has got a non Hindu name Sharmila. Interesting! |

During peak times where the hit rate for the darshan of god is high,VIP dasrhans should be limited or if possible they should be cancelled. |

Ideally they shouldn't be, but there are more practical issues of security, eg. you cant have the president of India standing in a long queue with commoners for an hour or even for 15 mins, can you? |

yes they should be treated differently because of the huge crowd in public places like tirupati.i myself have been gone to tirupati twice but seen that it is a place for rich people as the treatment differs from people to people as their monetary status change they will get more comfort and help if they r ready to pay more.I personally thinks it is going going against the teachings of religion where it is said that in front of GOD EVERY HUMAN BEING AND EVERY LIVING BEING IS EQUAL. it is very sad that only rich peoples treated well i myself had took ticket of three thousand rupees in 1995 on which 5 peoples were allowed directly to go near the temple. i was shocked when i saw that after the rituals of bathting and clothing of three small idols of gods in a hall beside the tample, all devotees were called to take darshan of gods from near and what i saw that people who were holding money in their hands, the priest who was holding a crown of gold representing the god ,was placing on the head of the devotees with money and when i reached there and there was no money with me as the mangement has the rule that the devotees must wear only a cloth called dothi around his waiste and only a mufflet type cloth on his upper body so i was not able to take money with me,the priest not seeing money in my hand harshly husked me away not placing the crown on my head or not letting me touch it ,i was very much offended by his action.i standing there observed that his behaviour was same with the people not having money in their hands.it is the same story in every religious places in india.people come with great faith and hope to these places but the people there r ready to rob the devotees in the name of god. |

No.Nobody is VIP in front of god.All are equal.Politicians are so disgusting...they go and visit as VIP and cause problem to people..Now they are talking about amitabh...common...people are facing these problems regularly at tirupathi....the politicians are so arrogant that they do not even inform atleast few days before so that less number of tickets are issued...or there may be some arrangements to common man....of course even if they inform also it is very rare some information is given to common public....i believe common man should stop giving money in hundi...let VIP's only provide money in Hundi....because leave alone some service...almost no service is existing for common people....if people really want to do good to other people...they should start finding giving money to other good sources...if you clearly observe temples have become commercial places for govt...Even though no Hundi is there i could find the best service or organized things at chilkur balaji temple...which govt is focibly trying to aquire for the sake of money....if you see temples now you can find more people collecting money near counters and you will find very few people organizing lines and better service to people.one of the saddest thing in temples i have seen is collecting money for breaking coconut...what a sad thing.... |

God has provided 24 hours to everyone, The VIPs can also spend atleast 3 to 4 hours waiting for God. It just shows how much love you have to God.
God does not bother how much money you donate to HIM, he is concerned about how devoted you are to HIM.
Give him with 'twadeeyam vastu Govinda tubhyamaham sampradatey'- I offer you Lord, what you have given me!.
The more you think of Him, the more will He think about you.
So, VIP treatment - NO!
Thanks,
Narayan |

Generally speaking VIP treatment in Tirupati is not good. But if you are reffering to Amithabh Bachchan's case, i feel it is understandable and even justified, as they have contributed so much towards the temple's development. What about the countless politicians and government officials who visit the temple often thereby delaying the darshan of lakhs of devotees. They do not even contribute a nickle to the temple and still enjoy VIP treatment. |
