Southern Railway is to run special trains on the Chennai Egmore - Nagercoil sector to clear extra rush of passengers. Train no. 0611 will leave Chennai Egmore at 8 pm on June 30 and July 2 and reach Nagercoil at 10 am the next day. In the return direction train no. 0612 will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 pm on July 1 and 3 and arrive here at 4.30 am the next day.
Train no. 0659 will leave Egmore at 8.30 pm on July 1 and reach Nagercoil at noon the next day. In the return direction train no. 0660 will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 pm on July 2 and arrive Egmore at 4.30 am the next day. The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Tirumangalam, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi and Tirunelveli. Train nos. 0612 and 0660 will stop at Mambalam also. The composition will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper class, 3 general second class and 2 luggage-***-brake van coaches. Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on June 28, according to a railway press release. A special train will be operated from Nagercoil to Chennai Egmore on June 28 to the following timings:
Train no. 0616 will leave Nagercoil at 7.30 pm on June 28 and arrive Egmore at 9 am the next day. It will stop at Tirunelveli, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudunagar, Tirumangalam, Madurai, Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Tindivanam, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam.
The composition of the train will be one AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class and 2 luggage-***-brake van coaches. |
