this is for that pathetic retard young jeezy....just to let you know asshole american/canadians companies are coming to india all the time and RECRUITING indians to work. why because indians are far better workers and are dedicated. look at the percentile of south asians on welfare and compare it to that of other americans. who the hell are you to say who can work in any country? if the govt has a problem with it they wont let them in, especially with the **** bush administration. you clearly need to go back to school. |

as an indian i love my country. i don't think that we should ever take an opinion from a damn foreigner. we dont need there views. we r happy with what we r. i respect every religion & country so should everyone. nobody has a right to comment on us. INDIA will definitely become the most developed nation in the world and then every1 would respect it. If they dont like r country then they should stop visiting India.
I think every1 is quite aware about the racious comments made by Jade Goodie. still Shilpa Shetty forgave her. even the government of r country forgave her. she herself admitted her mistake and said that "India has one of the richest culture in the world." so we Indians as u can see r so large hearted that we forgave the person who made racious remarks against us.
RESPECT INDIA |

In my view India is best described in this kannad geet :
Yo dhare bayasi banni, shobodayake swagata,
Swarashtrada akaash nalli, suprabhat surgisurta,
Yo dhare...
Yeli-yeli bayal gaadi, sukhagaman hedide,
hedge-hedge guswadesh, tann mahi me tidiside,
Yagya bhoomi, aag bhoomi, tyaag bhoomi bharataa,
Yo dhare...
Taa naag vall nilli, narnoo naraayana,
Amar gaan murag tihau, geet Ramayanaa,
Punya bhoomi, dev bhoomi, moksh bhoomi bharataa,
Yo dhare....
(for Indians India is- Matrabhoomi, pitra bhoomi,
Dev bhoomi bhartaa, Yo dhare...)
Another view-
India is a land of treasures-physical as well as spiritual. |

As an Indian, I advice you and request you:
"Please quit this ridiculous habit of seeking another person's opinion about our country. We really don't NEED their opinion as India isn't the same place it was 50 years ago -- poor, hungry, starving - yes, that's what this foreigners like to believe about us - let them stay in ignorance.
This is the first lesson you learn when you travel abroad as an Indian. Seeking someone's opinion works in Indian culture because we are family-oriented and highly inclusive about different opinions. Western societies in contrast, are very individualistic and personal privacy is given high priority.
Be proud of being an Indian and quit this colonial baggage which is reinforced through our educational system which doesn't allow Indians to take pride in our own country.
Sincerely |

Well I see there are some Indians who don't think you should be asking this question. But that's their opinion, which stems from insularity, which is not a characteristic to be encouraged!
My impression of India (formed during some 20 visits to diverse parts over some years) is that it's a country of stark contrasts.
Most significant of those contrasts is that the rich really are rich, and regrettably the poor are very, very poor. Unfortunately it's the latter which leaves the most lasting impression, and I personally always find visiting India a very distressing experience because of the abject poverty which is impossible to ignore in the cities.
In India, I have met the friendliest, most generous souls imaginable, but it was also the place where I encountered the most arrogant person I have ever met. The former were generally relatively poor people, and the latter was the Managing Director of a Glass Manufacturer.
India, I feel, will struggle to become a fully-developed nation (whatever that is anyway - perhaps another topic for another time) -mainly because it does have social inequalities which are far too extreme to be easily resolved. India also has an over-abundance of bureaucracy, which is a legacy of "British red-tape".
I always leave India with an impression of having spent my time in a state of continuous frenetic chaos. That's probably due to the over-population of the urban areas where I have, of necessity, spent my time. |

As an American, India is one of the few countries that I regard as worthy of the position as the world's most powerful nation.
With the undeniable evidence of the rise of India and China, I would hope that a country like India manages to take the lead. I have visited India, and it is alive, no doubt. It is a vibrant democracy with a rapidly expanding economy. Of course, some of my fellow Americans would disagree, in fact quite a few would. But many others are willing to listen and learn.
As far as I'm concerned, India is a wonderful, and important country. |
