Though the predominant religion is Hinduism in India...India was ruled before the British by a lot of regional kings .In the North it was ruled by the Mughal Kings who were Muslims.One such king was Shah Jahan who had built the Taj Mahal in memory of his Love Mumtaz Mahal...this is actually the grave of Mumtaz Mahal.Since it was bulit by a Muslim King it has a Mughal architecture as its base though it includes several other architectures. |

Yes because the Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan who was the emperor of the Mughal Empire which was based on Islamic traditions. And this Taj Mahal was built in memory of Shah Jahan's wife so not only is it a monument but also a grave site for his wife, himself and his son. |

India is a secular country, so besides beautiful Hindu temples, she has beautiful churches and even a beautiful Bahai temple in Delhi.
Incidentally, the Bahai temple was designed to look like a lotus, the national flower of India, and often used in Hindu religious ceremonies. |
