I have to visit Chennai for 3 days on an educational trip. Please tell me which are most affordable options to stay there.

ramdev bhavan,maheshwari bhavan in ekambeshwar agraham koil very near to railway station . parlellel to no 1 platform there is a road called walltax road pick a hand or auto rikshaw and go there hardly 3 to 4 minute journey .
