Traveling from Delhi to Cochin

What's the best way to travel from Delhi to Cochin if we're planning a holiday? I can't seem to find any direct trains or flight connections!

The following trains goes from Delhi to Cochin:

1) Train No. 2618 MNGLA LKSDP EXP from H NIZAMUDDIN to Ernakulam. Leaving Nizamuddin at 09:20 hours.

2) Train No. 2626 - Kerala Express from New Delhi tp Ernakulam - Leaving New Delhi at 0935 hourss.

Both the above trains runs daily.

You can use domestic Indian airline from Delhi via banbaii to goa and then Mysore and take a bus or train to Cochin.

It's a rather long journey by train - 42 hours. There are 7 direct trains. More details on the trains are available here ... http://indiarailinfo.com/search/664/52

Alternatively, you can fly to Cochin, which is faster, but air fares have almost doubled in the last year.

If you want to travel by train go to" www.indianrail.gov.in" and search
for trains between Delhi and Ernakulam which is the name of the
Railway Station.If you want to go by flight try "www.yatra.com" or
"www.cleartrip.com" and get details about flights from Delhi to
Kochi [new name for Cochin].The airport is however far away from
the city.Plenty of flights and trains.
