Wat should be done to improve the status of woman in indian villages?

Show all answers

punjabi j
educate them and tell them how can they stay alive on their own.........because many time they are being abused and beaten but they never say any thing .........when you ask them why? ..... their answer is gonna be ..where will i go ......how will i live after .......one should tell them that live which they are living is not really life..........

and we should also educate men and make them feel that how women play so important role in their life......and also tell them to respect other womens who do not belong to their family .......because this is a big problem in india these days.........guys don't care who other girl is they just care how badly they can tease them.....( i know little bit is common in every country ...but that's natural ) but in india girls are not even allowed to give them answer for what they said to them......because if they do they will get a label saying " bad girl" ....

i dont think improving status of women in indian villages is a easy job ........its soooooooooooooo hard but yaaa its not imposible.....

Education, Financial independence and opening of the society (treating women on par with men, it is a cultural issue - aborting female unborn kids etc is a direct reflection of the society) all of the three are required. Even if one of these are missing then the status cannot improve.

Give them a source of income, by providing jobs or small-scale business. With an income comes independence and with independence comes planning. Planning for themselves and there dependants.

I think education plays a vital role in the upliftment of the women...
Also... knowledge about their rights would help them a lot...

Awareness of things they can do themselves to uplift themselves from their poor standard to better one. At this age, educating them will take long time but has to be done. But, a better and fast way is to do stage shows like Puppet shows, showing them documentary films abt development activities that can be done, et. will certainly work out.

Apart from above, a SHG (Self-Help Group) to be formed with few intellectuals from the village heading the group and taking the task of educating others.

They should be educated then should be given equal rights. The panchayat should have bias laws towards women.
