An electronic ticket or e-ticket is used to represent the purchase of a seat on a passenger airline, usually through a website or by telephone.
To check in with an e-ticket, the passenger usually comes to the check-in counter and presents the confirmation or reservation code.
After confirming the reservation, the passenger checks-in his/her luggage and is given a boarding pass.
It is always adviseable to carry Passport in case of international travel or Photo ID in case of domestic
travel as these documents will be asked for at security check points.
hope that helps!
cheers!! |

Yes, you present the photo id at the ticketing counter - with your luggage and they will check you in. It saves about 10 minutes or so in the ticketing line. |

An electronic ticket or e-ticket is used to represent the purchase of a seat on a passenger airline, usually through a website or by telephone. This form of airline ticket is rapidly replacing the old paper tickets. Where paper tickets are still available, airlines frequently charge extra for issuing them. E-tickets are also available for certain entertainment venues.
Once a reservation is made, an e-ticket exists only as a digital record in the airline computers. Customers usually print out a copy of their receipt which contains the record locator or reservation number and the e-ticket number.
To check in with an e-ticket, the passenger usually comes to the check-in counter and presents the confirmation or reservation code. In some airlines it's not even necessary to present the code, as the reservation is confirmed solely on the basis of the passenger's identity. After confirming the reservation, the passenger checks-in his/her luggage and is given a boarding pass.
It is always adviseable to carry Passport in case of international travel or Photo ID in case of domestic
travel as these documents wiwll be asked for at security check points even if it is not asked for at check-in counters. |

Step 1 : When u will fill the form online for making the ticket, it will ask for a ID proof and you have to choose one option from it.
Step 2 : You have to carry the ID proof, that u provided at the time of feeling the form.
Ex. if u choosed the option PAN card as ur id proof then u have to carry the PAN card.

Simply print your ticket out and bring it with you – along with a valid photo ID – to the airline counter when checking in for your flight.
You need to show your e–ticket confirmation email and your e–ticket number at the check–in counter. The airline representative will issue your boarding pass at that time. |
