swadesh,go to rural india and show them that they need not migrate to cities by showing them the means to do so and prove that they r happier where they r,this will be a step to eliminate poverty, teach them to grow rather than giving alms

if you go there on holiday like goa - dont' go all inclusive waste of money - and spend you money in local bars and
restuarants and small shops.
the kids who work are not goan but from karnataka - the
girls are very savvy and a change is going to come.
take childrens clothes - they do wear jumpers and give
to a local orphange.
if you are not loaded - sponsor a child or family
they are ingeneral lovely people
and if you go - once you get over the culture shock
it is the best place in world to chill
i think every european child should go there to see how
priviledged they are
i have seen major change of attitudes in last 12 years
there are just so many of them bogged down by caste system
