It is correct that the name of the movie should not be the name of the villain.
But I think the movie was not that bad, and I don't think waste also, story may be taken from hollywood or tamil Telugu or elsewhere that doesn't matter. If somebody see the movie newly and don't know the story earlier then the story might give interest.
And regarding violence I think that violence is perfect, not unnecessary and it is not impossible. In such a situation such kind of violence is possible. Overall the film was different. But Amir's acting was nice. I enjoyed the film. I don't mind to recommend the movie. I give 8/10. Thanks. |

Ghajini was a superb movie...it really reflects the way Indian cinema has grown over the years. The story itself may not be an original, but it has been executed flawlessly. The violence isn't unnecessary...in fact, it adds to the thrill (and isn't at all unrealistic). Aamir's acting is perfect...I actually felt his desperation and grief...[he has barely any dialogues in the movie, yet you feel his sorrow...that is how good he is!] Even Asin is excellent for her debut...
Regarding the title...it's not at all weird, coz you see, the story revolves around the guy Ghajini...it does not revolve around Sanjay Singhania or Kalpana. Besides, the name makes the movie sound even more intriguing.
I think Ghajini was the best movie of 2008...two thumbs up for Aamir [his hard work over his body totally paid off...he looks awesome and his acting left me totally speechless..!] and a 4 on 5 for the movie. |

I thought it was good , considering Bollywood hasnt released anything of its genre in the recent past, good music, good action(although a little stupid at places),decent story and good acting......I'd say it is an entertainer...good movie |

Well yea, I thought the name was kind of weird. It was not as significant as I thought. But it's a cool name.
As for the plot, great story. The violence was not necessary. But then again, I liked that part. Sometimes when a person is hit on the head the way he was, it affects the frontal lobe. It makes them anti-social really fast, which is probably why Amir Khan is always so violent. Also, the villain wasn't very nice either. I think he deserved that. The violence kind of just adds to the movie. Some people might not like it, but it adds intensity. I liked it. |

Hindi movie Ghajini is a remake of the original tamil movie which later was made in telugu. It's the same story which had been translated to different languages except for the rhythm of the songs in hindi. Tamil and Telugu have the same tone for the songs. Story is good but watching it in different languages has gotten boring since it is the same story with the same suspense and the same love story between the actors. We can easily tell what will happen next if one saw the movie prior in other languages.
Movie is about a guy who likes a girl but some goons kill her because she rescues some poor kids from being sold I believe and this guy comes to know of it and takes revenge on them despite his brain condition which we, the audience come to know at the beginning of the movie and we see how he kills those guys one by one for killing his love. Touching story but hasn't been shown well. |

If you are referring to the one starring Aamir Khan, it is a re-make of a Tamil movie named Ghajini, which itself is a rip-off from an English movie (which is way better than the Tamil and Hindi versions) called Memento (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209144/) |

I think it's very pointless. it originally came from tamil, then telugu, then it got released in hindi. It's really sad how Asin dies half way in the movie. |
