It used to be ruled by the Portuguese and everything feels so European in Goa. They have one of the best beaches in the world which attracts thousands of foreign and domestic tourists each year.
Goa is also known for its world heritage architecture including the Basilica of Bom Jesus. Goa also has rich flora and fauna, owing to its location on the Western Ghats range, which are classified as a biodiversity hotspot.
Not only India food is widely avaiable, you can even get Portuguese food in Goa. Interestingly, Goa is one of the few places in India (or the world for that matter) that you can go to a restaurant and order both beef and pork!
