I feel it has got deep roots than what we see. What happened in Mumbai was wrong. But only Raj Takre was not behind it. I feel even the Maharashtra goverment is with Raj Takre. Since in UP and Bihar there are no signs of devlopment and politicians are not interested in making any progress people are migrating from these states. They are forming voting banks in these states. Politicians like Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh see this as an opportunity to enter into states which obviously disturbs the aboriginal parties from these states. For example, Sharad Pawar's RCP has no existence in other states than Maharshtra. So obvisouly he sees north Indian voting bank as a danger. Raj Takre wanted some driving force to make impact on people that his party also exists. So everybody used this issue for theri political benefits. Everybody hates when outsiders make "Bal-Pradarshan" in their area. That's natural tendency in animals and human is a social animal. Raj Takre used this emotion of people.
Migrating from one state to other is not against the law, but people should accept the culture of the new state without forgetting their.
Amar Singh, Abu Azami or Lalu Prasad should work in their states to make it a developed state than to come in Mumbai and gather group to show the power.

Thou i m from UP I believe Raj Thakery is right, in the sense that why should Maharashtra provide for employment of other state. Taj Mahal is a wonderful example of how Politicians in UP fail to utilise wonderful resources with so much of potential because it wont do any good to their vote bank. Its a very worrying situation to say the least and high time these politicians do something about the state.
