What do u know about India? (To Non-Indians) Beside poverty and hunger rampant in the beginning of last 50 yrs

India is the centre of the global IT services industry. With a highly educated workforce and 2 million english speaking college graduates a year. India exports $25bn of these services a year, a statistic which will rise to $60bn by 2010.
So it's not all doom and gloom, though India is also massively over-populated

Mm I don't know much. I know it's got sea and it's got the Mauritius island which looks beautiful from pictures. Also that they have a great night life with clubs opening till late and the people are really nice. Elephants are used for different things like transport (but only in some areas and for fancy weddings and stuff) and I think it is illegal to hunt them for the ivory tusks. Also that they make pashminas and wear sariis.
Mmmm i don't know much, do I? I'll pay a visit to wikipedia now.

soon india will be superpower as rupee is going very strong against $ usd. all most every multinational companies want to invest in india .even BPO industries too. earlier every indian was interested in going abroad to earn $ but now nobody seems to be that much interested as we have every facilities available here in our country .

but customarily women (even foreign) must cover most of their body and survive the heat so indian clothing is necessary

salwar kameez

learning some hindi and some hindi script will be very helpful because it is the biggest language and is similar to another big language :urdu

shahrukh khan and Amitabh bachchan are film stars there and EVERYWHERE

aside from the given ideas, india is one of the biggest population in the world and according to the past history they were one of the pirates together with the arabs on the persian golf located north of the indian country.
