What do you miss most about India?

I want to know what you miss most about India when you think about being back there. For me, it was the feeling of freedom, riding along on my Enfield Bullet with the sweet (or rotten) smells and weird sights of India passing by me

To thanushree: I am from Australia, but my father grew up in India many years ago. I spent 4 months there last year and cant wait to return to your amazing country

I miss indian foods really....We just immigrated to here and i find it terribly irritating to eat this country's food.I love rice and hot pepper curry, ginger squash, Prawns and crabs fried, nice fish curries,my favourite chicken kuruma and lots and lots of aother foods.....I miss the fresh indian air...i mean there is a speciality in the kind of air we breathe 1st and then later....Although we could say there is a lot of pollution ...I missed driving through the narrow roads with lots of roadside markets...and everytime u drive through it u smell jasmine flowers,or the smell of fresh fishes(sometimes rotten)or the roadside hotels that fan the aroma to the pedestrians and the huzzling and bustling and shouting and crying of people all around.....I miss the trains there...which move rather slower than that of this country...and passes through vast hillstations and pleasant fields with the smell of wheat and paddy and grasses that has small beads of water on it and the blooming sunflowers that look towards the sun in search of harmony....and everytime you go by train at night i enjoyed sleeping on the upper berth of it.....and in the morning a man would come and shout at the top of his voice that tea is being served.....and most of all i miss the travel through the backwaters in small boats and u would find a dozen or more lotus or lilly flowers growing in the water and on the weeds.....and everytime u go there at sunset there is the radiant horizon far up the sky that shows its brilliant majestic colors of rainbow....and at night the cool breeze would flow past u and the night blooming flowers would make u fell fast asleep with their fragrance.....But here i can't see anything special except there are more facilities....There is no life as pleasant as that of our native land....!
