India has managed to retain a separate identity in the world, imbibing many cultures. People anywhere in the world will know you are Indian if you say namaste and not Hi! or Yo!.

India has got a GDP growth rate of 8.5% and has become the second fastest growing economy in the world.

India has managed to have the most elite army in the world (don't challenge the fact, my father's in the army).

India has managed to attract tourists from all parts of the world.

India has managed to get universities like IITs and IIMs that are accepted as better than many American, UK and other foreign universities.

India has managed to prove to people of UN that she deserves a place in the security council.

India has managed to become a trillion-dollar economy.

India has managed to make her economy, culture and film industry global.

Tired of reading? This is only a small part.
And this is only for 60 years worth of Independence.
