Hmmmm, I don't really know what you are asking. And, I don't know if it is a serious question. Are you asking for a definition or how the word came about.

The definition...is a chance for the couple to get away from their prying neighbors to get to 'know' each other in the biblical sense. Of course this was from many years ago.

Now to try an explain how the word came into existence. In the past for a marriage ceremony to be completed it had to be consumated. And, marriages where usually an afternoon affair...so the consumation would generally occur at night...that is how the word "moon" is involved. I will leave it up to you to figure out the rest.

In modern times it is just a party for a newly married couple.

He was eager to have a girl of 17 years in the night of the 14th day full moon with a cup of wine would do the whole life enjoyed. Then people misunderstood that 'honey' during 'moon' is enjoyable.
