hi!
Well... its correct that tourists visit varanasi throughout the year but mostly in spring and autumn season because of the extreme type of climate here.....
in the past cpl of years winters were not at all cold but summers wr extremely hot n to add to that there wer 14-18 hrs of daily powercuts!!
the worst time to be here is ofcourse the summers n rainy season as there is waterlogging all over ...just after a couple of hrs of showers ... moreover the ganges is flooded which rules out varanasi's real charm - ghats!

i wud say the pre summer period is simply the best.... n ther r many reasons for that....
... mainly bcoz the ghaats n the river are very clean n there r alot of activities going around.

best time: mid jan to early april
n broadly... sept-april except december.

i'm happy to know tht u r intersted in visiting my hometown.well best season is between september-november,and then feb-middle to march-middle. varanasi faces severe heat and winter conditions,so the mentioned times r best to visit it.wishing you a happy stay in varanasi.

Good to hear that you wanna visit this great city. All seasons are good to visit this holy place. You may however like to visit in Aug to Dec and March to May to avoid severe weather. Please dont forget to visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and evening Aarti at Dashashmedh Ghat on holy Ganga river. You will get delighted. Also, have a look on Banarasi sarees. Visit Sarnath if you get time. Have a great stay!

Best Time would be October-November and Feb Middle to March end. But a localite wld be the best person to answer this .

hi its better to visit the great city between sep - oct,and then between end feb to end of april,as the weather is very harsh during summer n winter,as during monsoons it could be a little difficult to site-see.

The correct season to visit Varanasi is October, November, December & January.

One can visit Varanasi throughout the year. However the best season would be from September to March if you want to avoid the heat of the plains of Northern India.

Varanasi would be best in winters which is mid october onwards upto mid march. It will be really hot or humid rest of the six months.
