No doubt indian system is the best not only in toilet everything food habit, culture, morality and what not?
The difference between indian and western is the posture how you sit while passing stool. in indian you sit on your heels and in western you sit on your back like sitting on the chair. indian is highly hygenic and while passing your thigh will press the back by that entire thing will come out. but in western it is not so. Even the foreigners are accepting that indian is the best.

Indian toilets are the ones on which you squat with your legs and western toilets are the ones on which you sit on your haunches and hence have chances of skin infections due to contact with the bidet.

Indian Toilet is the one on which one sits as like a frog. Any part of the Toilet Seat does not touch the persons body. If old persons use indian toilet it is difficult for them to get up.

But in Western Toilet the thighs touch the pot, so, there is much risk of infection. where as it is a boon for old persons.

As per Yoga Guru "Swami Ramdev" using Indian Toilets decreases the chances of enlargement of Prostrate Gland,
as the required body muscles are pulled while using the Indian Toilets.

So, INDIAN TOILETS ARE THE BEST.

Indian toilet is where u have to sit almost completely without your seat i.e.hips going down your legs for the purpose of unloading yourself. In other words the entire weight of your body is on your hips which itself is hanging in the air and this makes you more prone to slumping in the toilet if u r aged.

Western toilet is like sitting on a chair with a frame but without a base and the entire weight of your body is resting of the frame and this keeps u stable during the entire process.

In case u have crossed 40 it is preferable to have a western toilet so that your spinal cord is not unnecessarily streched whilst sitting or getting up after your purpose is served.

Many have explained the difference between Indian and western toilets, so I wont go into details.
I agree like others, Indian toilets are the best. Very comfortable and relaxing, no chances of infection.
