Nice to know that you like Pune. I am living in Pune. I will give you a fairly decent breakup of living expenses per month.
Rent - Rs. 4500 to Rs. 8,000 (2 BHK apartment) No furnishing
- Rs. 12,000 to Rs.16000 Approx. for furnished Apartments.
Grocery- Rs. 4000
Cable TV - Rs. 450
Electricity - Rs. 500
Other expenses - Rs. 3000
Internet & Phone - Rs. 1500

I would say that your average monthly expense will be around Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 16,000

You must be crazy. India is not a good country to retire at your age, health care is negligible also expensive. Come on a trial basis and discover for yourself if u are unsure of my advise.
