Any where in india is my favourite place.
Apart from that, i prefer villages & towns rather than city. You can really see the nature & its beauties, the goodness of the people.* |

Narkanda, 70 Km ahead of Shimla, (H.P.) Best period Oct-March. The view of Himalayan peaks is excellent. When snowing, it's wonderful. -- And it is not crowded. |

Cochin in Kerala state (known as God's own country)- It is one of the most beautiful places in India. Its a major city where Tourism is highly promoted. People's standards are different but are 100% literate! Other than local language most people speak English eventhough not proficiently. 3 or 4 people out of 10 will be speaking fluent English. From Cochin there are lot of tours conducted to different locations. 'Allepey' is one of the major attraction from Cochin. Water tourism is a special attraction. Can go on house boat trips through the back waters. Cochin is also a good shopping spot and has an International airport. Most non resident Indians are from Kerala state. Some useful websites would be:

www.keralatourism.org
www.atdcalleppey.com/
www.cochinairport.com/ |
