Communication is the key for diagnosis. Doctors speak the local language when they are dealing with local population. However, if the patient is from other region or an expat, they do communicate with them in English. As a matter of fact, the level of competency of doctors in English is very good and for most of them it flows out more naturaly than the local language. |

If you are referring to those from the sub-continent of India, ... (as opposed to the ones who "speak with forked-tongue") ... most educated Indians speak good English in addition to their native language - (e.g. Hindustani).
Obvously, in India a doctor would use his native language when dealing with those who can't speak English. |

Depends on what kind of patients they get...if you are educated they will talk to you in English and if you arent then they will talk to you in the local language...and if the doctor is vet then they speak in your language. |

The national language of India is Hindi, however, you'll find that anyone with an education in India speaks English. The rule of thumb in India is look for someone who has a pen in their pocket. Most usually, if they can write, they will speak English.
The reason that English is a second language in India is that the British were in India for many years prior to WW2, and had a great influence on the country. |

unless they're treating you in india
then they probably speak the local language
it all depends. i'm sure if you don't speak english and they speak your native tounge they'll be more than happy to communicate with you in the language you're most comfortable speaking in. |
