Don't blame you!
However, monsoon lasts from June to September and it rains everywhere.
When you're tired of Goa head down to Kerala. After that, have a look at Bangalore, then head up to Delhi, Agra (for Taj Mahal), Rishikesh in Uttaranchal in the Himalayan foothills neighbouring Nepal.
India's a big place - enjoy!

Goa typically rains heavily during june-sept, if u can, try to come in Feb 3rd week as we have the carnival at Goa, it is just like the brazilian carnival . Check the dates on goatourism website.
Goa to bombay is about 8hrs drive.
