Met a yoga group from India during holiday last June. Most of the Indians were rude, impolite (e.g. cutting the line while somebody else is being served or cutting into conversations) and arrogant and showed no or bad manners (e.g. bare feet on chair in restaurant and scratching their bare feet). At first I thought it was an exception but over the days I met many Indians with very bad manners.
I was really shocked. After that experience I am really happy that I don't need to deal with Indians.

Indeed there is nothing like india for sheer intensity of emotions it arouses. you either hate it or love it. there is no mid way - this is bcos india is so in your face. there is no space for greys.
I was born in delhi and then moved away for years and years but even then whenever i return i love delhi. Delhi is the greatest city in the world and i dont care it has dirt, the worst traffic in the world, whatever - with all of that i love it. Only in delhi will you spot a 12th century structure rubbing shoulders with a shiny 21th century residential block.
Delhi is unique. India is unique. Jai Hind!

I have never been to India to answer the question. However from what I've seen from movies they seem good people. I do know a couple of Indian people and they are very nice.
