Begging in the name of God is the most prestigious profession here whereas working brings one to the lowest shudra status. It would rather be sinful to do away with the most prestigious profession from the scene.

When you do not find beggars India will be beggar less country. As simple as that. When Politicians,Public servants,Police,etc stop begging, India might become beggar less country.

When the so called rich will give up the share of the person whom you have given adjective of beggar. Rich persons are enjoying at the cost of others. They are enjoying/wasting more than the required quantum. The God has provided resources for meeting the need of all living beings. The imbalance has been created by us to deprive the weak persons and make them beggar. So I think will you ready to give something which you have more than of your need to someone who don't have.?
