If you could mention your purpose, duration, budget and other related aspects of your visit to India, very meaningful answers could flow. Otherwise, suggestions are free for all and everything. |

You should go to india in like August / September. A good place to go to is Kerala. Its a very nice place. They have so many tourist attractions like Munnar & Ooty which are hill stations and tea plantations. And they all have nice hotels like The Marriot/ Taj and so on. |

New Delhi will be the best place, has one of the best facility's in the country because its the capital, and the best part is its mixed culture , round the clock activities , is close to many hill stations you can cover in short time, and i would even suggest you Delhi because of its ever changing season which you wont find in other states. well in the end would just say Delhi Rocks , you will enjoy your stay in this city for sure |

summers can be too bad in plains.
Only place in India where you can travels in summer is a hill town. |

Since you seem to be from UK, the best times to visit India are September to February. Places to stay dpends on purpose of your visit, if its business nothing beats Mumbai, if its leisure then try palaces of Rajasthan, beaches of Goa, backwaters of Kerela, jungles of Madhya Pradesh & West bengal to catch a glimpse of Tigers.
Preferably make the reservations in advance, always watch your luggage when in public places, avoid intimacy (kissing on lips etc.) with your partner in public as it may offend local cultures.
Welcome to India. |

The weather here has started hotting up...hill stations in the north and some parts of southern India are good to visit. However, October to March is an ideal time to visit.
There are so many places to stay and visit. Why don't you have a look at oktatabyebye.com - a travel community website - for latest travel info. It has reviews on hotels, real travel talk on destinations... |

Fly to Delhi they have good dine in, night clubs and and hotels . Once you spend a few days there travel through rajsthan and himachal pradesh. Himachal is hilly and cooler during Indian summer. You can also visit leh and laddakh if you are interested in trekking. Spartan |
