Culture, a long and vivid history, the dignity of the people, Mahatma Ghandi, the Taj Mahal. Many beautiful and inspiring things - but it would be wrong to ignore the problem of poverty completely, just let's hope they get a more even balence in future.

By the way, here in the UK there are TV programmes (and indeed those bits in betwenn programmes on PSB that try to redress the balance and give us a proper perspective on India and Asian culture generally.

Everything and by Everything i mean Everything is good in India. U must have seen it on TV the poverty and other isssues but that is being faced by every country of the world
But then also india's development in every field is phenominal as compared to rest of world.
That's why i say East or West
India is the Best

Diversity. India is a country of extremes. Extreme poverty but also extreme wealth. Extreme filth but also extreme beauty. India has so much diversity that focusing on one subject without showing the extremes of that subject would be incomplete.

i would love to go to India. the first thing i think of is the way the women dress there. they are so beautiful, and belly dancers, i am in the process of learning how myself. i agree they should show more of it on TV and in magazines. like i said, i would love to go there. and Hinduism is one of the most beautiful religion in the world. i love Ganesha!! and Krishna and radha!!

Extreme...eveything extreme here in india. culture, tradition, unity in diversity, dif. ppl, diff. language..but still called as- indians.

India is no more representing SNAKE CHARMER image in International arena. India is known for gallantry history and now is well known for IT.
