From what I heard India is very rich, but the people in power who have the money are unbelievably greedy and the divide between rich poor in the country is bigger than the Marianas Trench. So much infact that the rich portion of the divide has as much pull on society as any political figure.

India is one the worlds fastest growing cities.
In fact Delhi and Mumbai are in the top 5 growing cities list.

What hasnt India got that UK doesn't. In fact its got more things from- better places to eat, and better shopping malls and brands.

I think it is even a bigger country(Economically) than UK, and india is heavily supported by USA.
India has great trades, and everyyear more and more people are immigrating there.

I wouldnt be surpirised if India became the top 5 richest country in the world in 20 YEARS.

The only problem it faces, is its poverty and poor people, if their government find a way to fix it. India is going to be great.

I really hope it does grow, im not indian, but i love the country!!

Its kinda sad that some of the people here are very ignorant. anyways, its is said that india is a "developing" country. that means its gonna take time. Why is there so much hurry? India (after getting freedom from brit empire) is a new born country. U.S took more than a hundred yrs to come to a position like this. i realy dun believe population is the key factor here. China is highly populated and still they have a strong economy. By getting rich if u mean having a strong economy then my friend u should know that india's economy is getting stronger than ever.

India will become rich when it can hold its head up with pride, and say yes we have no poor people who need to beg. we have a welfare state who looks after our poor. when all people in employment pay taxes to make this possible. India might be on an economic boom, but it will take many many years to reach western standards as far as looking after its own people. god love India,it is a wonderful country. but it has too many poor and desperate people that you need to see to first, before you can compare to the west

India was the ONLY richest nation once upon a time. Thatz why all the westerners wanted to reach India.

Lot of people visit India in those (g)olden days and looted away all the India's wealthiness.

I can give a lot of example for this. History speaks.

Anyhow, in another 10 years India will be the REAL SUPER POWER.
