When will india become fully developed?

i don't understand it. when i go there, i see two extremes. on one side, i see modern buildings, malls, technology and rich people, but on the other side, i still see people living in huts and without electricity. when will the latter disappear and everything will be perfect?

Development comes with the people not with polarization, which is currently the case, richer becoming more richer nd porr the poorer.
Education and healthy mind (to take needy people among ourselves) can take country towards what we called developed country

As long as there are corrupt politicians , India will never prosper .

All it takes is an atmosphere of freedom and self reliance. Build those into your culture and watch your nation grow!

The feeling has to come into every Indian to see it happen.
Unfortunately as the Nation is growing, the people are losing sight of these goals in looking after the short time selfish benefits.

Also the Politicians have to stop making personal gains and think of the Nation at large.

I wish it would disappear tomorrow.
Thanks. I like your Q. I may not have done justice to it.

As an emerging market, India has and still have in the future the two extremes you see around the streets of Delhi, Calcutta or Chennai, but certainly, India has doing its homework very well in the recent years.

India will be a major player during this century and will aproach to a developed status by the end of the century if the goverment mantain policies and develop institutions supportive of growth. The country must face some challanges on its pad of development and even must face good or bad luck to meet the goals of industrialization. Nevertheless you still going to see poor people living in slums, its true, i can see porr people sleeping in the streets in Chicago, I can see getthos and "barrios" /slums in Miami and New York....if i can see these images in the US I will see the same in India when it reaches the development status.....

India will become fully developed in another 50 years. But it depends on the democracy of India. If you spit on the road things like that etc. INDIA will never prosper. But if u keep things in control certainly in 10 to 40 years. India will be developed.

India is the most developed country in the world when the governments acts like it cares!!!!!! First, think about how the U.S was after 60 years of independence---civil war. After another 150 years america is doing good. MAybe thats gonna be the same with India?!!.

I THINK PERFECT IS A BIT EXAGGERATED WORD. THERE WILL BE SOME SHORTCOMINGS EVEN IN THE BEST OF CIRCUMSTANCES AS USA (A FULLY DEVELOPED ECONOMY) IS PRESENTLY BATTLING WITH THE CURRENT RECESSION IN THEIR ECONOMY. HOWEVER, IT SEEMS THAT INDIA WILL BE A DEVELOPED COUNTRY BY 2030.
