a few good answers, but an alternative would be to get a scheduled flight to Mumbai (with BA for about £300), and then an internal flight with someone like spicejet.com for about £50 to Goa (1 hour).
If you are going all that way it might be worth a few days in Mumbai- a fascinating city

Ask KLM (from Europe). I was very satisfied with them. Lufthansa might also work, but they're more expensive. I once had a Lufthansa flight from Berlin, Germany to Amsterdam, Netherlands, and then on a 747 to Mumbai, continuing on a local airline to Goa. Was a nice flight. (In IATA codes: TXL - AMS - BOM - GOI). Ask your travel agent if something like that is available, but maybe a flight via New Delhi would be cheaper, with Air India.
