in tiruvanthpuram (kerala) kovalam beach is the best, it willbe little bit goa style. if u r going to gujarat ahmadpur mandavi has very attractive beach knonn as nagava beach. this is 80 kms from somanath temple in junagadh dist/it is lonly peacefull beach.

I just got back from Goa about a month ago. I didn't make it there, but further south is Kerela. It is supposed to be much more lush and beautiful than Goa, but it is less populated. Not sure when it takes place exactly, but they have a huge elephant festival that may be cool to check out too.

2. Houvva Beach in kovalam.Trivandrum
3. Go to Bekal Fort - near Kasargod - Mangalore.
4. Go to Pondicherry for rough seas.
5.Go to Palolem Beach South Goa - The best in Goa.

You can try the beaches in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. They r not as popular as Goa, but they are much cleaner and well managed. You will have a good time in Visakhapatnam.
