Abbets and old Hyderabad like near the Charminar area as one of the best places to do the shopping for variety of products.
There are so manyt decent hotels are there you can try Grand Solitaire.
Though Secunderbad is more safer then hyderabad, but still I wont suggest that you alone move out late nights.

Go to Charminar if you can bargain particularly in Ramzan period( now). Get all the stuff at very cheap rates, including the food stuff, dry fruits, cloths,jwellery shoes etc.
There are plenty of local buses and autos from all over in the city. you have to get down either at Madina or at Maqqua masjid and walk to do all your shopping.
But you have to be a good bargainer. Mostly the road side shops are fixed rates type at this time of the year.
It is generally safe till 10 in the night.

Street-shopping: At Koti & General Bazar near Paradise.
Transportation : By buses and hired metered taxi or Auto. Also train service(MMTS) is available for outskirt of city places.
Rickshaws are not availble here. Auto rickshaw is available for three adults at a time in back seat. Minimum fare is Rs.12. Meter is digital. But many of them cheater by tampering meter reading and refusing to go on meter system. This is a new trend here. You can ask help from Traffic police. They are mostly very helpfool by arranging auto for you. But auto is cheaper and best. Call Taxi(metered) is available round the clock but little costilier. According to your budget you can choose transportation.

Go to the nearest bazar for the shopping you will get everything in the shops there. It would be good if you take a friend or a relative with you for shopping if you are new in the city. Autorikshaws are available. Keep atleast Rs.500 for the travel fare in the pocket.
Girls dont roam alone at night in Hyderabad, so its not recommended. You would find many Hotels all around Hyderabad.

For Street Shopping
Sultan Bazaar near Koti & near Charminar is the best place for women.

Yea it's safe for a girl to roam alone, But try to reach your room by 9 in the night. You can manage with hindi language.

For transportation you will get autos & cabs.

Any hotel Near to that place, Sorry don't know.
