Where should i go on my honey moon in December?

I am getting married and live in Orange County California. I will be going on a honey moon the 31st of dec but don't know where to go. I don't want to spend a ton of money $2000 roughly. Everything that i find on expedia is more expensive because of the holidays....any ideas?

I think with $2000 for 2 , you can't have an international honeymoon ..heheheh.. Try some where in the US itself.

i'm from Colombia, and contrary to popular belief its not really dangerous, it all depends on how you act and where you are. getting that out of the way, there are wonderful hotel-ranches in Colombia which have mountain trails, beautiful clear rivers, acres and acres of pastures for horseback riding and peace, and most of the time tourist-friendly towns lie near such hotel-ranches, and if you're near the jungle there are fun activities there too like canopy which is riding on zip lines from tree to tree, and nature hikes. all in all it is a perfect place if you would like an eco-friendly honeymoon, since most of the profits go to saving wildlife and rain forests. also expenses should not be a major problem.
