-ranikhet, derz a place called chaubbatia(d spelling mayb rong) wich i a few kilometers above ranikhet nd is a beautiful place..u can ask d direction frm d localz of ranikhet
-even leh nd ladakh wud be an absolutely offbeat choice..d deserts nd extreme cold nd how d localz live dre nd d vegetable marktz wud b an amazin once in a lifetime experience
-down south.. kerala wud be a good choice
if u have enough time in ur hands den try travelling 2 differnt kinds of villages in india as all of dem hav a diffrnt lifestyle...for ex d lifestyle of d localz of northern rural areas iss diff frm dose of western nd southern rural areas..visit 3-4 diff villages..it'll truly be a refreshin experience

u can go to:
1) villages in maharashtra.
2) villages in kerala.
3) villages in rajasthan
4) villages in punjab
5) some villages in eastern india

Trakarli. Its a place in MAHARASHTRA few km's from kudal
Its basically a beach but a very beautiful one!!! unspoilt & clean.You could 1st go to GOA & then visit tarkarli

it will be very difficult for you to stay in rural area.India isnt exactly tourist friendly but now you mention you should goto rural goa.It much better than other parts of india.
