Where would you suggest to go to in India in August?
Hello - India has always been on my places to travel to - due to being a teacher I have to go in August and haven't been so far because of the weather. I have decided to go anyway this year! I planning to go for 3 weeks and happy to explore anywhere - so where will the monsoon rains be least and slightly cooler!

I would suggest you go to Jaipur or Goa. I would prefer Goa because it is a beautiful city and has lots of historic facts. I t is also a great tourist spot. I am from India and i love visiting Jaipur as well. J Jaipur has even more historic spots and is beautiful Jaipur is also a really old city so it is rather fascinating. Ether one you choose they are both realy fascinating.

Himachal Pradesh should be cool, you could trek to the valley of flowers (13000 ft) . In Bombay, it will be raining for sure. But it could be humid. I guess spending most of the time in the hills of Himachal and then taking a single day to see Delhi or the Taj at Agra before flying out from Delhi would work.
K.K
Agra. You can see Taj Mahal which is one of the wonders of the world :)

It will be the peak monsoon over there in most of the states so it will be difficult for you. But if you are very keen to visit, you can explore Rajasthan. Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and then you can cover Agra and Delhi also. You can visit www.incredibleindia.com for many other information.
